Oatmeal is a perfect food to improve digestion, but it also has excellent benefits on the skin. The benefits of oatmeal on the skin is that it can reduce inflammation, hydrate, soften and even exfoliate. 1. Oatmeal cucumber mask to refresh and calm irritations and inflammations
If you have irritated, dull skin or need to give it a boost of hydration, this mask will give you those nutrients you need. Oatmeal will give you nutrients to hydrate it. It is a natural anti-inflammatory, cucumber refreshes, eliminates inflammations and yogurt acts as a very mild exfoliant, as it contains lactic acid. Ideal for dry, oily or combination skin.
For this mask you need:
- Two tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons cucumber (beat the cucumber very well to make it puree)
- 2 tablespoons of oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
Combine all the ingredients until they are well incorporated, then apply and leave to act for about 15 minutes and then rinse. Use it once or twice a week, after washing your face and before applying your serum.
2. Oatmeal mask with baking soda to control acne breakouts
Oatmeal is an ingredient to exfoliate and even to prevent small acne breakouts, as well as hydration to control sebum secretion. Baking soda helps exfoliate, it is antiseptic and inflammatory, remember to use it in small amounts.
For this mask you need:
- 2 tablespoons of ground oats
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- Water
You need to make a paste, so little water is added so that it is not too diluted. Apply this paste without rubbing and leave it for one minute after rinsing. It is suitable for combination or oily skin, as it does not eliminate essential oils, but it does control excess sebum secretion.
3. Oatmeal mask with almond oil that hydrates, tones and is anti-aging
Almond oil helps hydrate dry skin and thanks to its fatty acids it retains moisture to prevent premature aging. Likewise, the egg can control sebum and help tone. It is ideal for dry, stressed and mature skin.
For this mask you need:
- 1 egg
- ½ cup cooked oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon of almond oil
Stir all the ingredients very well and place it all over your face, rest for about 10 minutes and rinse. The almond oil is non – comedogenic if used in moderation. Avoid rubbing too hard, this could redden and hurt the skin.
